We are Prone to Error

Tuckney pointed out that mere reference to biblical passages does not guarantee the legitimacy of a certain position. Theological claims must be examined and regulated by creeds and confessions. This is not because Scripture is insufficient or ambiguous but because our understanding and judgment are limited and prone to error.
