Ectypal Relationships

...his status as a person is contingent upon and derived from the personal God who spoke all things into being, who entered into personal relations with him, and who constituted him a person with faculties (rational, voluntary, affective), enabling him to enter into personal relations with another creature drawn from himself (Gen. 2:21-22).
