The coming of the Spirit at Pentecost is the coming of Christ to be with his Church
Presence of the Spirit is the presence of Christ, specifically as Christ is exalted. The coming of the Spirit at Pentecost is the coming of Christ to be with the Church. Jesus will be with the Church to the very end of history active in the power of the Spirit. If it means anything, it means this: Jesus Christ, the exalted Lord Jesus, is here to stay permanently with the Church, and that is why the church will be successful in it's mandate to disciple the nations.
