Last Days Speaking

The Son is said to be nothing less than God’s “last days” speaking; the Son is the eschatological endpoint and fulfillment of that revelatory speech. God’s revelation in his Son, in his incarnate person and work, both deed-revelation and word-revelation, has a finality that cannot be superseded or surpassed. Christ consummates as he closes the history of revelation.
