Pentecost and New Heavens and New Earth

What Pentecost does not do is bring the even greater fullness of the presence and working of the Spirit that will come at Christ’s return, and not before, with the third and final stage of the kingdom: the full finality of the Spirit’s work realized in the bodily resurrection of believers and the attendant renovation of the whole creation (Rom. 8: 19‒ 22) as “a new heaven and earth” (Rev. 21: 1).
