Person and Work of Christ

For the history of Christ is the gospel in a nutshell. Not Christ the God-man, but Christ, the eternal Son of God become incarnate in the present evil age with the humiliation, suffering, and death this sarkic existence involved, and as the incarnate Son of God raised up to be the source for others of the eschatological power and life this pneumatic existence of the coming age involves-that is the gospel to which Paul goes on to give such unsurpassed development in the body of Romans.
