Calvin's Signature

Calvin's most fateful act was... his simple signature on the Consensus Tigerenus. For the rest of his days Calvin would live in the shadow of the Consensus. From its publication in 1551 Calvin was engaged in explaining, clarifying, and defending his relationship to this document.
