Beza's and the Belgic Confession

...the influence of Beza's confession on the Belgic Confession is more pervasive than has been acknowledged up to now. Probably its lengthiest single contribution is found in article 37, while articles 19 and 20 also derived entire sections from this confession. In articles 10, 12, 13, 18, 22, 27, 29 and 33, full sentences from Beza were included. Smaller, isolated expressions were inserted in articles 1, 9, 10, 12, 14, 15, 16, 19 and 28. This means that about seventeen of the thirty-seven articles in the Belgic Confession show smaller or larger traces of Beza's confession.
