One Author

...this dictum, “the sense of the Scripture is that which God the Author of the Scripture in and by the Scriptures gives men to know and understand,” is a measured statement of the rule scriptura sui interpres along with its underlying rationale. Scripture interprets itself and must necessarily give its own meaning since it is there and only there that God, its Author, speaks.
