Scriptural Authority

authority is the characteristic that results from the nature of the author: in religious or theological matters, ultimate authority derives from God inasmuch as God is the ultimate source or author of all things religious, while relative and limited authority derives from human beings who, as authors of theological documents, command only limited respect.
