Confessional Divisions
One of the odd things about the current evangelical resurgence of interest in confessionalism: one of the points one has to make about confession is if you're going to return to the confessions of the 16th, 17th century, and I think we should you also have to return to the divisions that made the confessions of the 16th and 17th century necessary. You have to start holding strong opinions on stuff that by and large we try not to hold strong opinions on these days.
