Owen's Polity

I would say there is no puritan polity. John Owen starts out as a Presbyterian, ends up as a congregationalist, but he's not a congregationalist in the way that many would experience congregationalism, say in the Southern Baptist Convention today. His congregation is much closer to my presbyterianism which would be different from other people's presbyterianism, possibly even within my own denomination.
