Law Toward Ourselves

Although the law treats expressly only of the duties towards God and our neighbor, yet under them are necessarily contained the duties towards ourselves. We cannot love God with all our heart without every kind of holiness; nor will we rightly love our neighbor as ourselves, unless we regulate the love of ourselves by the law of God.
