Wages as Gift
What is called misthos [μισθὸς] (Mt. 5:46; 6:1) is elsewhere called charis [χάρις] (Lk. 6:32); and children (or the fruit of the womb) are called a reward, who nevertheless are the gift of God (Ps. 127:3).
