Unity in Truth

Unity exists no further than a commitment to the “faith that was once for all delivered to the saints” (Jude 3) exists within a particular church or across particular churches. This is not to relegate unity to an invisible sphere of doctrinal concurrence. On the contrary, unity that is built around the truth must come to visible expression. But it is to say that unity must never be pursued at the expense of the truth of Scripture. The church’s holiness is likewise rooted in the church’s commitment to the truth.
