When the Spirit of the Lord admonishes us to regulate our family better—to read the Word of God with members of our family, to catechize our children, to reinstate family prayers that we may have neglected for a time, and to start praying regularly and perseveringly with our family—then we should gladly comply, for this means that we have freed ourselves from our own activities and are willing to deny ourselves in order to surrender completely to God, to be ruled by him, and to be led by his Holy Spirit in the way that seems right to him.
